Neighborhood Villain is made for one job: send it back.
Use it when you are dealing with gossip, envy, ill will, spiritual interference, hostile attention, crossed conditions, or energy that was never yours to carry in the first place. This is not about absorbing someone else’s mess or sitting quietly under it. Neighborhood Villain is worked to turn that energy around, push it out of your space, and return it to its point of origin while helping you hold your own boundaries in the process.
I especially like this one for situations where you can feel that something has been directed at you repeatedly. A person keeps speaking on your name. Someone is fixated on your downfall. Black Dog works well with Neighborhood Villain because Black Dog can move in either direction, crossing or uncrossing. Use it when the situation has already become spiritually messy and you need to break up what has landed on you before sending it back out.
Reversal is the closest relative, but they are not doing exactly the same job. Reversal is broader. It is used to turn a condition around, undo a working, or reverse the direction of something already in motion. Neighborhood Villain is more pointed. It is specifically concerned with rejecting hostile energy, removing it from your space, and returning it to its source. If something has already taken hold, Reversal can help turn the condition.
